Our Story: From Compassion to Community 

In 2020, as communities faced the challenges of COVID-19, 5BS Humanitarian Incorporated began with a simple but powerful purpose: to help people in need. What started as a small effort to provide food and essential supplies quickly grew through the kindness of volunteers, supporters and community members.

During uncertain times, we stood alongside individuals and families, delivering practical support and bringing people together through compassion and service. Those early experiences shaped the values that continue to guide 5BS today.

As our community grew, so did our purpose. From our humanitarian beginnings, 5BS expanded into cultural activities, community events, volunteering, social connection, partnerships and regional engagement — creating more ways for people to participate, contribute and belong.

Today, 5BS Humanitarian Incorporated is a Filipino-Australian not-for-profit community organisation that welcomes people from all backgrounds. While humanitarian service remains at the heart of our story, our work continues to evolve as we build stronger connections, celebrate culture, encourage community participation and work alongside communities across Victoria.

What began as an act of compassion has grown into a community united by service, culture, connection and shared purpose.
